The fact it is pixel is stunning in its own right, but I may be biased as I am horrible myself at pixel art.
For vision, you can see how clear the picture has been imagined, the surprised expression and the way her hair flows alongside it. It is beautifully done, I simply love how it looks, her eyes, the hair, especially the clothing.
However it isn't that original as anyone can create a surprised head shot.
Overall it looks great, but I feel the shading is off. When creating a piece, decide where the light source is, and don't be afraid to shade the whole picture if you must with tiny spots of light. The shading seems extremely uneven and out of order, from any sort of source.
The teardrop light source, and pattern, is unique, but unnecessary. It disrupts the picture's shading style and causes the picture to look blocky and ununified. One thing I see about the anatomy that bothers me a bit is how the shoulder is leveled with the neck. The clothing doesn't look as bulky on the right as it does with the left, making it seem like the shoulder connects to the neck rather than the smooth flow down to the shoulder. It might be the perspective, but it also seems like the shoulder is a little to long, just a bit.
Like I said, it's a great piece of artwork. Seeing it at first sight, I was stunned it was pixel and it was done really well as a whole. Beautiful <3
